Ahhh, this interview y’all. There is so much goodness here. This week, I’m talking with Holly Whitaker, founder of Tempest Sobriety School and The Temper, and author of the recent “Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol.” Holly also played a huge part in my decision to quit drinking, over three years ago, and I loved getting to have this conversation with her.
Even though we recorded pre-coronavirus, everything we talked about is relevant to where we are today. You’ll hear us cover pivotal life moments, why sometimes feeling guilty is okay, how to decide what you owe yourself vs what you owe others, non-linear paths of learning, and why you might need to live in a way that allows you to have constant interventions.
We also talk about why it’s okay not to be okay and how showing up is part of the healing.
